The walls are going up at the new Centre Hastings Municipal Office in Madoc, and planning is well underway for a renovation and upgrade for the creation of a community recreation center at the current offices in Ivanhoe. Reeve of Centre Hastings, Tom Deline, says they hope to go to tender for the construction of the rec centre in February, so now’s the time for the public to offer ideas on the facility. Members of the Centre Hastings Ratepayers Association asked that Council hold a public meeting on the recreation and community center before any decisions are taken.
