The Salvation Army still needs a lot of help with its Christmas kettle campaigns in the Quinte Area, especially in Trenton and Campbellford.
Captain Robert Burrell says 82-thousand dollars has been donated so far in Belleville, 28-thousand short of the goal, but only one-third of the 65-thousand-dollar target has been reached in Trenton..
He says illness among volunteers in Campbellford has prevented the kettles from being out full time, and only ten per cent of the fifteen-thousand dollar kettle goal has been donated.
The money raised during the kettle campaign, which continues until noon on December 24th, along with the letter campaign, is used for the church’s community and family services.
