It’s called a crisis, and Prince Edward County Council will consider putting a bounty on the heads of coyotes and wolves. Councillor Kevin Gale made a motion to hear a report on bounties in January, and perhaps even pass a by law at the same time to allow them. Gale says pets are being killed..livestock is being killed or maimed, and the predators are ruining the County’s deer hunt. One problem to be tackled is ensuring that the County isn’t paying a bounty on a predator killed in another community, such as Quinte West.
