Quick action by Prince Edward County firefighters has prevented more serious damage at a home in Rossmore.
The fire department responded at 10:45 last night after wood stove ashes, left in a pot on a porch, ignited.
Fire Chief Scott Manlowe says fire crewes kept the flames from spreading to the house, at Rednersville Road and Reddick Street, but there was ten-thousand dollars damage to the porch.
