Outdoor burning permits in Prince Edward County are going up by five dollars on January first..
Fire department staff recommended the increase from 10 dollars to 15 dollars, because of the growing demand for permits.
The hike was approved by council last night. Meantime, Quinte West’s Protective Services committee is recommending Council increase burn permit fees to 20 dollars…from 15.
