It’s an exciting day right across the Quinte region as thousands will welcome the Olympic torch to their town. The relay continues its run this morning in Kingston, then runners head to Napanee, Tyendinaga, Deseronto, and hit Picton for the big celebration from 10-til-noon. It will make its way to Belleville City Hall for a 60-second stop in the noon hour and then head to C-F-B Trenton where it will be carried by Thomas Joachim Hoppe, the first Canadian peacekeeper cited twice for bravery in one tour. The flame will then go through Downtown Trenton, Brighton, Colborne, Cobourg, Port Hope, and finally light up in Peterborough.
