It’s the second full day of Hanukkah, the 8-day Jewish holiday.
Festivities began at sundown on Friday, when the first of eight candles on the ceremonial menorah was lit.
The Quinte region has one synagogue in Belleville, which caters to the greater region’s approximately 100 Jews.
