A Stirling-Rawdon Township man may have committed a federal offence by distributing a Canadian Police Information Centre broadcast sent out to the O-P-P and other police forces.
Police Chief Brian Foley made the comment after Wayne Martin handed out the information about criminal record checks to council this week.
He says that’s a federal offence through the C-PIC act, and Stirling-Rawdon officers aren’t even allowed to have C-PIC paperwork in their cruisers.
The chief says he will advise the information centre about what happened.
