A Madoc Deer… loved by much of the community… is dead after being shot north of Madoc by a hunter who fled the scene.
According to police, the hunter didn’t pay any attention to the two orange collars “Minnie The Deer” was wearing
Minnie was like a pet for most families in the area.
She would play with the dogs and often come right into their homes.
A person from the Cobourg area is under investigation by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
