Contract conciliation talks for the eight-member Stirling-Rawdon Township Police Association have broken down.
The Association President, Sergeant Jim Orr, says he and police board members met with a Ministry of the Solicitor General conciliator yesterday, but there was no progress in resolving their dispute.
The conciliation meeting was called after the board refused in October to sign a tentative one-year-contract, retroactive to January first.
Board members apparently disagree about some items included in the deal, which, if ever signed, will expire at the end of this month. The next step in the dispute is probably arbitration.
