Last night residents of Deerfield Park subdivision in Belleville’s Thurlow Ward got their first look at plans for the wooded area in their neighbourhood. Director of Recreation Mark Fluhrer says the idea is to put park equipment and pathways in an area that has the least impact on the neighbourhood. He says it’s always better to put a proper designated areas in place rather than have people make their own. At the meeting residents were able to give some input into the plan. Fluhrer says they’ll get a second look at the draft plan before a decision is made to go ahead with the work next spring.
