A former Anglican Priest and Belleville resident is headed to jail for 3.5 years for sexual assaulting young girls in Northern Ontario in the 1960’s and 70’s. The Sault Star reports 77-year old Kenneth Gibbs was convicted of eight counts of indecent assault against five young girls about 40-years ago at churches in Chapleau and Elliot Lake. One of the victims says God willing he won’t be allowed to be around children again. Gibbs has coronary artery disease and suffers from post polio syndrome. He’ll serve his sentence in protective custody.
