Work is underway on the new Municipal Office for Center Hastings. Center Hastings Council, in special session earlier this month, selected a general contractor, K. Knudsen Construction of Belleville, which quoted almost 549 thousand dollars for the job. There were 4 other tenders, with one coming in at almost 1.7 million.
Meanwhile, the entire project is expected to cost over 900 thousand dollars. Center Hastings Reeve Tom Deline explains the general contractor is looking after the basic construction, but there’s more to the job
The new Center Hastings Municipal Office will be located in Madoc, and the building should be up in about 6 months.
