A former Belleville man has again asked to be surgically castrated after being convicted of multiple convictions for molesting young girls. Terrance Madden, appearing in a Kitchener court on charges there yesterday, said he couldn’t afford the drugs used to keep him chemically castrated. Meanwhile, the prosecutor wants Madden declared a dangerous offender. The judge has agreed to have Madden examined by a psychiatrist as part of a dangerous offender application. Madden has been convicted of 24 times for sex crimes since 1985, and has served 4 and a half years in prison in the ’90’s for crimes, most committed in the Belleville and Kingston area.
Madden’s lawyer says he was sexually abused as a child, and suffers from depression.
