The Center Hastings Ratepayers Association was the target of at least one local resident at last night’s meeting of Center Hastings Council. Nick Carey was critical of the association for harassing council and staff with constant requests for information. He wondered if some were waging a smear campaign against council in hopes of being elected in next November’s election. Larry Mitz of the ratepayers argued that they just want a transparent exchange of information.
