The behind the scenes work continues as potential investors prepare to take over the majority stake in Belleville’s stalled slot parlour and harness racing track. President of the Belleville Agricultural Society Doug Rollins says Plaza Gaming…which is poised to take a 75-percent stake in the project from Baymount Incorporated….is enthusiatic about the deal….and, Rollins hopes to hear soon…whether or not they’re in. He says he’s hopeful to get word in mid-December. Rollins says Plaza has the money….but wants to ensure it’s a solid investment for them to get involved in the Bell Boulevard project. The slots and track have been in limbo for several years as Baymount has been unable to secure financing to begin construction.
