Belleville Chief Administrative Officer says having the “right” project manager for its 35-million dollar Multiplex facility will save it seven-times the cost of that manager. Steve Hyndman made the comment as City Council considered a staff recommendation last night to approve Task Force Engineerng. At 400-thousand dollars its bid was 150-thousand dollars above the lowest tender. Hyndman says having a good project manager meant that the recent library project came in on-budget. Recreation Director Mark Fluhrer said the tenders had been worked out on ability, and cost by the hour, and Task Force came out on top. Council approved the contract.
