The Railway Safety Committee is asking a consultant to re-examine safety measures at a potentially dangerous railway crossing in Brighton. Councillor Brian Ostrander says they received a railway safety assssment report from an engineering consultant at last night’s meeting. Ostrander says the consultant has concluded the only thing that will alleviate safety concerns will be to construct a grade seperation….either an overpass or underpass….at the Prince Edward Street crossing. The committee believes that likely won’t happen for another 20-years.
