Another big infrastructure project on the horizon in Belleville’s east end. This project is about “securing the capacity and reliability of water service to Belleville’s north east industrial park.” It will extend the watermain from Haig Road’s dead-end, looping north to the College Street east watermain dead-end. Project manager Barry Simpson says there have been no problems but it’s important that the supply of water is made secure. The environmental assessment will include public meetings, and is expected to completed by April.
