The Belleville General Hospital Foundation has made good on the first installment of the community’s 16-million-dollar commitment to the new Charlotte Sills Wing.
A Foundation official presented a cheque for just over 5.9-million-dollars to Quinte Health Care, and combined with 1.8 million already turned over, the total is well over 7.7-million dollars.
The Phase One project included the construction of the new space for Complex Continuing Care, Rehabilitation and the recently opened Intensive Care Unit.
Completion of the rest of the work is expected early next year, with the official opening in February.
