Expensive home entertainment equipment has been the target of thieves in two breakins in Belleville.
City Police say a 42-inch flat screen T-V worth 17-hundred dollars was stolen from a home on Willet Road in Thurlow over the weekend, and a laptop computer, valued at 800 dollars, and a Nintendo WII were taken from a house on Stanley Street.
Police also responded to an alarm at a Cannifton Road restaurant at 5-30 this morning, and found the front door unlocked and the cash register on the floor.
Investigation revealed the culprits got into the building through the ceiling ventilation system. There is no information yet on what was stolen.
