The Belleville Police service has a new deputy chief… with a familiar face. Paul Vandergraaf was announced as the new deputy chief at a press conference at Belleville city hall Friday afternoon. Vandergraaf says he’s excited to get started. Vandergraaf has been a member of the Belleville Police Service in 1991 and is a strong advocate of community policing. He’ll be sworn in January 4th 2010… when the position officially takes effect.
