A warning from Belleville Firefighters about the importance of working smoke detectors… after a small kitchen fire in the City’s East End yesterday.
Firefighters say the responded to the home at Bradgate Road and Dundas around 6:10 last night… and battled the blaze until about 8:15.
Officials say one person suffered burns to their hands but they aren’t severe.
Firefighters also say what started as a “cooking fire” got worse when it got up into the cupboards.
