The Ministry of Natural Resources recommends a return to the cormorant control program at Presqu’ile Provincial Park in Brighton.
That is included in the implementation plan for the park’s High Bluff and Gull Islands, which has just gone through the environmental assessment process..
Park Superintendent Tom Mates says the plan includes oiling eggs, removing nests and culling the birds, something which wasn’t been done the past two years..
He says the Ministry of Natural Resources wants to hear from anyone who has concerns about the plan by December eleventh.
