About 50-people turned out to hear Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak at a Belleville Chamber of Commerce breakfast this morning.
Hudak bashed the Mcguinty government’s plan to introduce a harmonized sales tax..H-S-T, although he stopped short of promising to drop it if he forms the next government. He told the business crowd his government would suspend the land transfer and payroll taxes. He says he rejects what he calls the “Dalton corporate welfare model” which he says gave a France-based company 300-thousand dollars for every worker hired. Hudak says “that” money could have been better spent on job-creation in Belleville.
