Belleville is moving ahead with plans to tap into ideas from its younger generation. Work is underway to form the promised Youth Advisory Committee of City Council. Spokesman Colin Leaver says a survey is being taken in city high schools about what city hall issues interest young people. Leaver says these youth are the city’s future leaders and the city should begin developing them now. A Youth Forum is set for the evening of December 10 at the Yardmen Arena to hear from young people 13-to 25 years of age.
