Brighton has gone one-for-eight in its grant applications to senior levels of government….and, they’ll give it the old college try in attracting grant money for much needed computer upgrades. Mayor Chris Herrington told council last night they’ve invited MP Rick Norlock and MPP Lou Rinaldi to an upcoming meeting of council to discuss the town’s lack of success in recent grant announcements. Council is seeking 100-thousand dollars from the Southern Ontario Development Program for much needed upgrades to update their computer systems.
