The wrecking ball will swing at Brighton Public School…and, costs are prohibiting Town Council from doing anything about it. Mayor Chris Herrington told last night’s council meeting that no groups had come forward with cash to help save the building. Councillor Brian Ostrander was one the councillors voting to pass a motion to stop lobbying the school board to save the school. Councillor Dave Cutler wanted to take another look at preserving the school but the rest of council was against the idea. The anticipated costs to .bring the building back into use were in the eight million dollar range.
