The appeal of the zoning bylaw amendment allowing a large cottage development on East Lake in Prince Edward County will go ahead.
The Ontario Municipal Board has rejected the request by Cottage Advisors, which wants to build 237 summer homes on the lake, to dismiss the appeal by the Friends of East Lake.
Cottage Advisors argued at an O-M-B Hearing in early September no legitimate planning grounds had been raised for the appeal.
County Planning Services Commissioner Gerry Murphy says a date still has to be set to hear the “Friends” appeal of the bylaw amendment, which was approved by council in June.
