A man with a knife is believed to be in police custody after a standoff with police tactical teams just west of Foxboro. Motorists on the Frankford Road were stopped by paramedics and police, late yesterday afternoon, where officers from Belleville and local OPP Detachments were dealing with a despondant man. Reports to our newsroom indicate the man was taken into custody by the Emergency Response Team officers and transferred to Belleville General Hospital. It’s unknown if anyone was injured in the incident. The scene was cleared at about 4:30 yesterday afternoon.
