Brighton’s water supply is highly vulnerable right now. Those words from the GM of Lower Trent Conservation Jim Kelleher to the town’s Committee of the Whole meeting last night. Previous reports indicate ecoli, coliform and other contaminants…and, although the source is still being studied the nearby landfill site has been ruled out. Director of Public Works Jim Phillips believes the reports showing contaminants were likely from when they had the open reservoir water source. A full report is expected in the spring.
