The 10-th annual “night-time” Santa Claus parade hits the streets of Belleville this Friday evening.
Once again some special entries will be making their way down Front Street ahead of the main parade. Chamber of Commerce events co-ordinator, Susan Walsh, says the Gleaners Food Bank will be collecting food donations. A line of fire trucks will bring firefighters collecting for their Christmas toy drive, and of course, Canada Post carriers will pick up letters for Santa. The charity drives get underway at 6:15 Friday evening, with the main event, featuring Santa himself, starting out about 15-minutes later.
