A Northumberland O-P-P officer’s quest for funding for a portable children’s safety village has advanced to the next round of voting.
Constable Chris Dewsbury submitted his idea to the Aviva Community Fund, and he will have a chance at sharing in five-hundred-thousand dollars to bring his idea to life if it gets enough votes.
The first round of voting ended on November first, and Dewsberry’s project got through to the next ballot period.
Supporters can show they’re behind the safety village, which would be moved from one location to another, by going to www.avivacommunity.fund.org., registering, and searching for chris dewsbury.
