A Belleville councillor doesn’t want people to forget the campaign to retain the private license bureau in the city. Councillor Pat Culhane told city council last night that people should keep up the pressure on the province to retain the bureau on College Street. In late August City Council wrote to the province suporting a petition of 83-hundred names to “not” close Doug Olson’s bureau, and move it into the government offices in Century Place. There has been no reply to the city’s letter.
