No decision yet from Northumberland County Council on a proposed new bridge in Campbellford.
Council deferred its decision yesterday to accept or reject the Environmental Study Report, approved by Trent Hills Council on Monday, placing the structure over the Trent River at Alma and Second Streets.
Brighton Mayor Chris Herrington proposed waiting until December ninth to determine a cost comparison, between the expansion of the current two-lane bridge at Bridge Street to four lanes, and the plan for a new structure further down the river.
The report will be sent to the Enviroment Ministry for a 30-day public comment process if it is approved by Northumberland Council.
