Everything is back to normal today at Quinte Mohawk School.
The school was closed last Friday because of concerns for the students’ safety, one day after protestors forced a new pre-fab Tyendinaga Reserve police station from entering the site where it’s supposed to be built.
The York Road location is very close to the school.
However, School Principal Kathleen Manderville says the situation is calm, and the school is open today. It isn’t publicly known what happened to the new police station.
