A professional diver died late this morning(yesterday morning) after being trapped in the Trent River earlier in the day.
The Ministry of Labour says the diver, working for O.D.S. Marine out of Ottawa, became trapped around lock # 1 in Trenton. He was in about 4 metres of water. He was supplied with some air from the surface by Quinte West Firefighters and was eventually rescued. However, he passed away at Trenton Hospital. No other details available. The Ministry of Labour continues an investigation.
