A move to block the opening of a third strip club in Belleville could end up in court. Last night, City council moved unanimously to restrict the number of licensed adult entertainment clubs in the city to no more than two….the two already in businesss. Carlos Moniz, owner of the former Docs Palace, says he needs the strip club in his renovations plans to make a profit. Maniz says he’ll sue the city “big time” if he doesn’t get a license. Mayor Neil Ellis says the old bylaw has expired and the city has received legal advice that restrictions can be put in place. Council will deal with the new bylaw at its meeting Oct 13-th.
