Prince Edward County Mayor Leo Finnegan’s name won’t be on the ballot when voters go to the polls in next year’s municipal election.
Finnegan, who was first elected in 2003, says he isn’t interested in a third term as the top municipal politician.
He says he will have enjoyed his seven years as mayor, calling it a privilege and a wonderful learning experience.
Finnegan, who turns 76 this December, says there are still some things he wants to accomplish while he has good health.
