The Medical Officer of Health in Hastings-Prince Edward says the H1N1 virus should be arriving soon in the Quinte-area. Doctor Richard Schabas says we’ll see the swine flu early this fall….and he expects it will eliminate the seasonal flu strain this season. Schabas expects the strain to be mild. Schabas says local residents over the age of 65 and health care workers will be able to get the regular flu shot in the next couple weeks….but, the H1N1 vaccination doesn’t arrive until November.
