It was unanimous….Brighton Council voted to proceed with phase-one of the Craft Retail Development on Elizabeth Street which possibly includes a Canadian Tire, a hardware store and a Tim Horton’s. Mayor Chris Herrington says despite strong opposition from local resident John Rundle….the plan makes sense. Herrington says phase-one won’t include any small retail spaces which would negatively affect retail in the downtown core. An OMB hearing on the project is slated for next week.
