Not everyone in Gosport is pleased with Brighton’s masterplan which includes commercial and retail development on their waterfront. Gosport resident Jean Payne submitted a petition with nearly 200 names to council, last night, asking them to stop the waterfront proposal and begin again using input from Gosport residents. The project includes retail space with the potential for residential units above the stores, a large park, waterfront trails and expanded marina. Waterfront Committee Chair Councillor Brian Ostrander refused to comment.
