Residents of Big Island, in Prince Edward County, will have to make alternate plans to get on and off the island for two days early next month.
The County is holding a public information session at the Demorestville Hall on Thursday night about the closure of County Road 21 to traffic while a large drainage culvert is replaced on October fifth and sixth.
A pedestrian walkway will be available at all times, and a 24-hour shuttle taxi service will be set up on both sides of the road closure.
The meeting, which begins at 6-30, will also deal with medical assistance and fire and police protection.
