Another 3.2-million dollars in building activity in Belleville.
Fifty permits for construction projects worth that amount were issued at City Hall last month, compared to 3.7-million dollars in August of last year.
The largest project was an 800-thousand-dollar ten-room modular school to accomodate students at Saint Micheal’s Elementary School during construction. Saint Michael’s Church is spending 300-thousand dollars to renovate the convent building at Victoria Avenue and Pinnacle Street.
There has been 39-million dollars in building activity in Belleville so far this year, compared to 41.3-million at this time in 2008.
