Local carpenters put down their hammers and saws long enough to make a sizeable donation to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation. The Carpenters Union, Local 397 handed a cheque for 18-thousand dollars to Foundation official Pat Feasey yesterday. The money will be used to purchase medical equipment at BGH. The carpenters union has also been announced as a major sponsor for the foundations “A Night at the Gin Joint” Gala to be held on September 26th.
