It’s an earlier than usual start to the school year at most local schools next week. and, Hastings-Prince Edward School Board spokesperson Kerry Donnell says the teachers are prepared to be teaching the curriculum on day one next Tuesday. Students are expected to be at school Tuesday-to-Thursday next week…and, will return to class the following Tuesday after a four-day Labour Day Weekend.
Enrollment is expected to be down this year by about 400-students to 16-thousand-300 in the public board. but, Donnell says final figures won’t be known until registatration is complete.
