Belleville councillor Bob Dolan has often questioned the use of emergency-owned SUVs by supervisors, without getting the answers he wanted…but now he’s got City Council backing. Dolan says the Joint Emergency Measures Committee refused to give him mileage information on the SUVs that are taken home by supervisors who might be called out. Dolan told council last night some of the supervisors live in the Kingston – Napanee area. He said they should pay their own way home and not bill it to taxpayers. Council decided to ask Hastings County Council to have the SUVs keep a log-book showing all the mileage.
