The main route through Foxboro is closed this morning due to a massive blaze in the Maxwell Paper warehouse. City fire crews were called at about 5 o’clock this morning when the blaze broke in the building at 300 Ashley Street. The smoke can been seen from downtown Belleville. Several callers to our newsroom reported flames shooting from the building that could be seen from a good distance away. It’s believed no one was injured in the blaze…however one firefighter needed treatment for heat exhaustion.
Ashley Street is closed between Harmony Road and Frankford Road. Mohawk and Tyendinaga Township firefighters were called in to provide tanker support.
