A woman has been killed overnight by a freight train in Belleville. City Police confirm the woman was struck, at 1:18 this morning, at the South Church Street CP Rail crossing. Police have been unable to identify the victim and are seeking information from the public. If you witnessed the incident or have an idea as to who was killed early this morning you’re asked to contact Constable Rene Aubertin. Post mortem is set for today.
