It will be smaller, and there’ll be no elected mayors or councillors on it. Applications are now being accepted to sit on the new board of directors for the Quinte Healthcare Corporation.
The Community Advisory Council has decided that skills, experience, and a real interest in local healthcare, will be the main criteria for being chosen to the new 16 member board, of which 12 will be elected….while 4 others will be hospital management.
September 9th is the deadline for applications. Criteria for the new board can be seen on Quinte Healthcare’s web-site. As part of the structure, there will be a 54-member group of non-voting members as well.
